Conservatory Window Film FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it expensive?
Filmcote conservatory films are the most cost effective conservatory shading solution. The investment on average is less than £2 per week, which make it cheaper than a Sunday paper!
My blinds don’t seem to stop the sun’s heat – does wind film work?
Most blinds absorb the short-wave radiation from the sun, this absorbed heat then radiates out into the conservatory as long-wave radiation. Window film reflects the heat before it enters the room therefore making far more effective than blinds. Plus it will look great for many years to come and won’t trap flies!
If I have blinds can you remove them?
In most cases we will be able to remove and dispose of your old worn blinds.
How do I get a quote?
Give us a call on 01179414466 or fill out our contact form and we can arrange a free, no-obligation survey with one of our team.
I don’t like pushy salesman in my house
Neither do we! Our visit will only be to discuss and demonstrate the effectiveness of the film with no pushy approach. As a responsible company we never discuss the cost of your installation during the survey. Once we have all the information we need, we will prepare a quotation and send it via email, so you can discuss in your own time without any pressure from us.
Do I have to have all my glazing in the conservatory treated?
At Filmcote, we believe in only filming where we need to. If you have windows that don’t need to be treated, we will be honest and tell you that we wouldn’t recommend filming.
Do I have a guarantee or warranty?
Yes, all our work is covered by a ten or twelve-year (minimum) warranty against product and installation when installed internally on glazing.
My conservatory is quite small/big, are you able to manage this?
With years of experience, our installation teams have worked on everything from small lean-to’s to palm rooms and orangeries on stately homes.
Will I still need my blinds?
Our film solutions will meet your expectations, therefore your blinds will be a thing of the past.
